I can't sleep thanks to my chronic tinnitus so here have some advice on writing TV Hartley with a realistic case of chronic tinnitus (with the caveat that this is all based on my personal experiences) bc I have read exactly 1 fic that engaged with the whole chronic tinnitus thing in the whole 3+ years I've been in the fandom

Ok, so it's not entirely unexpected, but I didn't think I was gonna end up coming back from the movie wanting to write fic about Aquaman's mom of all people. But, uh, I'm love her so here have a little bit of an AU where Atlanna was a bit more selfish and decided to stay on the run with her family and raised Arthur to be the heir to the throne of Atlantis. Assume the Orm in this fic is someone else's son?
I want to write this as a nice longfic with lots of politics and a more conniving Mera and a younger and more self-assured Arthur but that will probably never happen so have this little snippet instead and come talk to me about it and we'll see where it goes.
